Second Championship of Ukraine of Pankration
Poltava, March 5-6, 2005
According to a Calendar plan of sports measures of the Ukrainian Pankration Federation and State committee on sports of Ukraine in a city Poltava the second championship of Ukraine of Pankration from March 4 till March 6, 2005.
In the beginning of competitions on 3 till March 4, 2005 the board arbitrators of federation within the framework of a seminar arbitrators carried out theoretical and practical employment, where the important questions in organization and realization of competitions in the versions of realization of duels with easy and complete contact were considered.
In the Seminar have taken part 25 arbitrators from different regions of Ukraine. The representatives of Kiev, Vinnitsa, Donetsk, Poltava, Lugansk, Ivano-Frankovsk, Rovno, Sumy, Chernovtsy, Chernigov regions actively discussed subtleties arbitrators of competitions.
 18.00 March 4 was held joint meeting of judicial board of a championship with the representatives of teams. The chairman of a mandatory commission the judge of the international category Anatoliy Mikula has summarized work of a mandatory commission. On a championship of Ukraine of the profit 69 sportsmen (61 men and 8 women) from 10 regions of Ukraine, from them of the foremen of sports of Ukraine - 11, candidates in the foreman of sports of Ukraine - 29 and 29 sportsmen of 1 sports category.
In a hall for conferences of a sports complex of a sports society “Ukraine” March 4 the press conference with a presidency of the Ukrainian Pankration Federation and organizational committee of a championship of Ukraine was held, where the representatives of mass media Poltava ”Press Club”. Have taken part; and correspondents of broadcasting companies UT-1, UTN and “The new channel”. The president of federation Viktor Korzsh and first vice-president Aleksander Mandrik have answered a question of the correspondents on revival of an antique kind duel in a plane of modern development of sports movement, about performances of the Ukrainian sportsmen on championships of the world and Europe, about prospects of development of the Pankration in Ukraine and attraction to employment wide âåðñò of the population.
The competitions have begun at 10.00 on March 5, 2005 in a sports complex “Junost” of the “Ukraine” from solemn opening of competitions. The opening of a championship was carried out by the Chairman of Advice Federation Andrey Starodubcev. The honourable right to lift a state flag was is given to the champion of the world of 2003 and Europe of 2004 Taras Peremitko (Lugansk), champions of Europe of 2004 Olga Kisilenko, Vasiliy Novikov (Kharkov) and Aleksander Sitalo (Sumi).
